This person will support the Women’s Restoration Recovery program to address issues pertaining to home life skills and career readiness. Director of Engagement Ministry

Portland, OR

The Director of Engagement, a key executive position at Portland Rescue Mission (PRM) reporting to the Executive Director, is responsible for all engagement with the community. This includes: expanding revenue growth and diversification; all donor relations; in-kind resources; and overseeing volunteer support across the ministry. The Director will create and nurture partnerships that support PRM’s life-restoring programs, oversee PRM’s donor acquisition and cultivation program, pursue foundation grants and corporate partnerships, support special initiatives such as Drive Away Hunger and Mission Barbeque, and manage and leverage engagement opportunities, including VIP relations, special events, collateral development, online/social media and content development

Men's Night Ministry Team Member – Burnside Shelter

This role is responsible for the safety of the Burnside facility, those in residence and those receiving emergency services, including overnight shelter. The Night Ministry Team Member will report mainly to the Manager of Outreach Ministry, and is vital in our efforts of impacting those who visit us from the streets of downtown Portland.

Women’s Growth Leader (Case Manager) for Women's Program

The Growth Leader at Shepherd’s Door will provide a strong emphasis on case management with a preferred background in recovery, including CADC credentials. As a member of the Recovery Team at Shepherd’s Door, the Growth Leader is responsible for providing case management over a selected number of residents, as well as facilitating a peaceful, hospitable, transforming and safe ministry for all Shepherd’s Door residents. The Growth Leader is a strong team player and is deeply involved in all related departments, providing an increased ministerial presence through prayer and specific guidance/accountability that each individual resident needs. This is done while maintaining safety for everyone involved and engaging in ministry that furthers the values of Portland Rescue Mission culture and every element of the transforming environment of Shepherd’s Door.

Vehicle Mechanic for Drive Away Hunger

This is a full-time vehicle mechanic position for the Drive Away Hunger program at Portland Rescue Mission. This role provides mechanical experience and hands-on expertise to diagnose and complete repairs on a wide variety of donated vehicles while contributing to a dynamic Christian ministry environment and mentoring men and women in PRM’s addiction recovery programs.

The Growth Manager will lead a team of addiction recovery professionals through oversight and implementation of the addiction recovery components of our New Life Ministry for women at Shepherd’s Door. Demonstrated therapeutic understanding, program development and leadership skills are required. The right candidate will have case management skills, be an experienced team builder, and have a background in addiction recovery and CADC credentials. Men's Growth Leader/ Counselor

The Men’s Growth Leader / Counselor is responsible to oversee and develop the growth of a Family Group of residents (up to 15) through integrating addictions recovery, spiritual formation and life skills training all aiming toward the result of life transformation in Christ. The Men’s Growth Leader / Counselor will work alongside other staff and volunteers to implement the various components of the Men’s New Life Ministry while creating a safe, highly relational and Christ-centered ministry environment. This person will also provide counseling to residents to further support the growth of men at The Harbor. The right candidate will have a passion for supporting men experiencing grief, trauma and addiction in order to bring about healing resulting in long-term success. CADC credentials, formal counseling training and experience and an understanding of case management are required.

Growth Support Staff Member (Women's Ministry)

The Growth Support Staff position holds a high level of immediate responsibility for the safety of residents of Shepherd’s Door during evenings, nights, and weekend shifts. The person in this role will work in collaboration with the Recovery Staff to ensure that residents experience consistency of program, grace in crisis and support as needed.
