Children's Ministry Center Manager (Shepherd's Door)

Portland, OR

Under general supervision, plans, develops, organizes, and directs the educational and spiritual aspects for children of Portland Rescue Mission. The Children's Ministry Center Manager supervises support staff, interns, volunteers and coordinates with community and professional groups associated with the program. The children’s program at Portland Rescue Mission is designed to care for children age birth to 12 years who have been homeless and may have suffered abuse and/or neglect. There will be a strong emphasis on teaming with the mother to develop a strong, interactive parent/child relationship. The Children's Ministry Center Manager will provide parent/child mentoring classes and opportunities as children are reunited with their mothers, and work closely with the Advocacy department.

Night Ministry Team Member

Portland, OR

Responsible for ministering to the guests and residents at our Burnside Shelter during the evening, providing assistance in basic operations, and maintaining a safe environment of the facility, both for those in residence and those receiving emergency services, including overnight shelter.

IT Help Desk -Part Time/On Call

Portland, OR

The Help Desk Support Specialist is responsible for the daily IT support needs of a medium sized IT infrastructure. Support needs include but are not limited to installing and updating hardware and software, resetting passwords, creating and managing email accounts, the ability to solve complex problems and manage support ticket queues and inbound trouble reports via email, chat, and voice. The Help Desk Support Specialist will have better than average communication skills work well in a fast paced environment, and be able to coach residents or staff to perform help desk functions.

Project Management Coordinator

This position specializes in tracking and advancing projects across the Engagement spectrum (Development, Major Donors, Marketing) to assure they are completed efficiently and in a timely manner. This is a detail-oriented position involving actively tracking project status and next steps in close coordination with the Engagement Director, actively liaising with a broad range of staff and suppliers, and actively coordinating certain special events. This position also helps document best processes and practices so they may be repeated and refined over time to deliver even greater impact from limited resources.

Weekend Life Staff - Men's Program - Part Time

Portland, OR

Weekend Life Staff will be responsible to ensure The Harbor continues to be a place of safety, growth and life on Saturday and Sunday for all the participants in Men’s New Life Ministry. Weekend Life Staff will work alongside Service Residents in order to be a discipleship presence, resolve immediate issues that may arise and maintain a consistency of program guidelines and tone. Weekend Life Staff will oversee Saturday Morning Men’s Breakfast event and the development of other volunteer based weekend activities so that the men are further engaged and life in The Harbor Community is increased.

Vehicle Mechanic for Drive Away Hunger

This is a full-time vehicle mechanic position for the Drive Away Hunger program at Portland Rescue Mission. This role provides mechanical experience and hands-on expertise to diagnose and complete repairs on a wide variety of donated vehicles while contributing to a dynamic Christian ministry environment and mentoring men and women in PRM’s addiction recovery programs.

Women’s Growth Leader (Case Manager) for Women's Program

As a member of the Recovery Team at Shepherd’s Door, the Growth Leader is responsible for providing case management over a selected number of residents, as well as facilitating a peaceful, hospitable, transforming and safe ministry for all Shepherd’s Door residents. The Growth Leader is a strong team player and is deeply involved in all related departments, providing an increased ministerial presence through prayer and specific guidance/accountability that each individual resident needs. Women's Growth Manager

The Growth Manager will lead a team of addiction recovery professionals through oversight and implementation of the addiction recovery components of our New Life Ministry for women at Shepherd’s Door. Demonstrated therapeutic understanding, program development and leadership skills are required. The right candidate will have case management skills, be an experienced team builder, and have a background in addiction recovery and CADC credentials. As the leader of the Recovery Team at Shepherd’s Door, the Growth Manager is responsible for providing case management over a select case load of residents, as well as facilitating a peaceful, hospitable, transforming and safe ministry for all Shepherd’s Door residents. Men's Growth Leader/ Counselor

The Men’s Growth Leader / Counselor is responsible to oversee and develop the growth of a Family Group of residents (up to 15) through integrating addictions recovery, spiritual formation and life skills training all aiming toward the result of life transformation in Christ. The Men’s Growth Leader / Counselor will work alongside other staff and volunteers to implement the various components of the Men’s New Life Ministry while creating a safe, highly relational and Christ-centered ministry environment. This person will also provide counseling to residents to further support the growth of men at The Harbor. The right candidate will have a passion for supporting men experiencing grief, trauma and addiction in order to bring about healing resulting in long-term success. CADC credentials, formal counseling training and experience and an understanding of case management are required.
